Project awarded with the First Prize ASCER Awards in the category of Final Degree Project (November 2012) and the First Prize at Techtextil Messefrankfurt (March 2013) in the “Environment and Ecology” category. 
The project proposes the transformation of an old cargo ship moored at the Port of Piraeus, in Athens, for dual use: as a student residence and as the “Le Corbusier Foundation” center, commemorating the centenary of his travel through this area.
The proposed conversion not only respects the existing structure of the ship, but also seeks to create a friendly “paradise” on deck – a type of a “floating garden”, an “inhabited dock”, a “deck-park” from which to contemplate the city, while accessing both the hostel and the Le Corbusier Foundation.
Furthermore, the project becomes a park for the city of Athens,and a new urban landmark for the city.
